Program Description For the Bachelor of Arts and Science, students must complete two majors: an Arts major, and a Science major. Music Whether you are interested in performance, composition, digital audio arts or music education, our classical music programs are designed to meet your specific needs and interest. If you are interested in music and another subject area, a BA allows you to explore all your educational interests with more flexible degree options that allow more sciences, social sciences and humanities, while still focusing on music. Build your program around your diverse interests across art, humanities, sciences and social sciences. Through our classical music program you can choose to pursue a performance route and receive one-on-one instruction from master performer-teachers. Entrance to studio courses are dependent on a successful audition. , attend numerous guest artist classes and have performance opportunities throughout the year. Recitals showcase your development and accomplishments as a growing musician and your experience is enhanced by participation in ensembles. Compliment your studies with courses outside your area of focus to achieve the goals you have set out for your future endeavours. Kinesiology Kinesiology is the study of human movement through physical activity and the critical role it plays from both an individual and cultural perspective. It also helps us understand the mechanics of human motion. Our programs are designed to provide you with the opportunity to study the theoretical and practical applications of activity as a cultural form, as well as individual performance at all levels of involvement and all ages. You will also gain an understanding of movement through the integration of specialized knowledge found in topics like anatomy, biomechanics, culture, exercise physiology, leadership, media, motor control, race and ethnicity. You will have access to state-of-the-art laboratories, as well as the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness, with its indoor track, pool and climbing wall.
